basically, I want to see if my FD fires up w/ my stock ECU... I have no plans to drive it until i get my power fc..

here are my mods...

Intake

Downpipe

Catback

Ported Motor

Non-Seq

I know if I do try, that I'll throw a bunch of codes since I disabled everything and clipped out the solenoid connectors...

I just want some piece of mind that I am safe to JUST start and idle my FD...

what do you guys think?

i dont see a problem with it, unless you start to drive it.. heh

you still didn't get a PFC ?

vudoodoodoo 03-31-2003 02:28 PM

Yeah it will start. Would probably put the car in limp mode though. Should be fine to move the car around and stuff.

I'm pretty sure it would work. I'd wait if you could though.

wouldn't start it if you have all those connectors for emissions disconnected, unless you are using the resistors and stuff, then it would work.

It will start and idle as long as you have the basic/important wires left (i.e. crank angle sensor, map sensor, tps, etc.). It may be in limp home mode, but as long as you don't boost, it will be fine.

Silver Ninety Three 03-31-2003 03:52 PM

You can start it, and even drive it a little if you have to, as long as you stay off boost.
