WHATS UP FELLOW ROTOR HEADS.. IV'E BEEN LOOKIN FOR THE RIGHT WHEEL COMBO FOR MY FD FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS NOW & CANT FIND HELP CHOOSING THE RIGHT SETUP. I REALLY LIKE THE PIAA SUPER ROSSA 19" X 8.5 FRT & 19 X 10 IN THE REAR, RACING HART PRO J5 SAME SIZE OR THE HYPER 5ZR'S FROM 5ZIGEN BUT IM NOT SURE IF THEY'D FIT WITH OUT RUBBING.. THEY DONT MAKE ANY OF THESE WHEELS IN A 18" 2 PIECE DESIGN SO THATS WHY I'M HOOKED ON THE 19'S MY FD IS RED ON STOCK ROLLERS. I DNT HAVE COILOVERS YET BUT I PLAN ON PURCHAING THEM AT THE SAME TIME I GET MY WHEELS. ALSO I DNT WANT TO ROLL MY FENDERS BUT IF I HAVE TO I GUESS I CAN GO WITH A BURNOUT KD-I TYPE II BODY KIT? I'D APPRECIATE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP!

stop yelling first? caps = a no no.

as for rolling your fenders...if you roll your fenders its a lot cheaper then buying a whole new bodykit. hell you can roll your fenders for free with a bat, if youre careful.

i dunno if you can fit 19x10's in the rear...i know martin has some big 18s in the rear and it looks pretty tight. im guessing youll at least need to roll the fenders.

19x10 is erally big.

I have 18x10 in the rear and its pretty much filling it up.

Thanks for the help but those damn sale people swear they can stuff 19's on an FD i havent bought any yet cause i dont want to be stuck with $3500 wheels & nowhere to put em (im sure my wife will find somewhere to stick em!) lol.. so what would be a the perfect staggered set up for 18's (frt 8.5 & rear 10's?) what offsets would i need & tire sizes? is there any other websites other than ebay to find some nice wheels for an fd?

Thanks again guys..

yes you can fit a 19 on an FD with the right backspace on the rim, i got a buddy with one he has 19's on his no prob. ive got an FC and i was going to put 19's on mine but found some 18's for cheaper... becuase ive seen 19's on FC's too... with the right backspacing dont forget...

you can def. fit 19's on fd's.... just make sure you have really low profile tires. and considering you wont be doing much racing with those 19's... you dont need to be getting them really wide, i'd say 8 up front and 9 in the back should be sufficient enough.

PM "michaelB145", pretty sure he has those exact wheels.

GreyGT-C 10-15-2005 03:33 AM

what size tire are you planning to put on the car? It sounds like you are planning to put WAY too much tire on the car. I was running 275's in the rear with a VERY strong car, and found it to be enough tire most of the time.

You will need to roll the fenderwells also...but it's an easy job.

PS. you don't want the Burnout KD-1 bodykit.... cause i just ordered mine about a month ago https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
