Is your MAP sensor vacuum line connected? Mine fell off a couple times and it idled and smoked like an old locomotive.

where can i find this sensor. sorry i'm a noob
|
On the firewall, next to the brake booster. Check to make sure the vacuum hose that runs to it is connected on both ends and isn't cracked or something. It connects to the bottom of the upper intake manifold after the throttle body. Kind of hard to get at that end, follow the line by feel.

thanks i'll take a look at that tonight

okay guys MAP sensor is connected, and new plugs are in. still won't start, but i think the engine keeps flooding, any ideas?
|
okay do the main AND trailing plugs fire on the start of the motor? because only the trailing is firing

Check your ground off the back passenger side of the UIM. Mine just fell off while I was driving.
The car started running like ****. My engine torque brace stripped the bolt out where the grounds go. Now I have to pull the uim and retap the hole. I ended up just moving the grounds down to the other bolt. |
