Does anyone have any pictures of there aftermarket BOV in the Sock position.

Also I was wondering do you neep to block the entrance into the airbox where the stock BOV leads to?

Thanks for the help

Hey Dumbrotorkid, can you get a closer pic of that? I would appreciate it. Did you have to get an adapter plate? How was the install?

What did you use to block the opening on the intake?

Dumbrotorkid 10-28-2003 11:08 PM

it came with a cap:) you can use any kind of cap i believe it 3/4 inch

Here's my HKS SS bov in stock location.

I replaced my stock airbox with some k/n filters, so I didn't have to plug the open hole in the box. But, before I had my k/n filters, I just used a rubber chair foot thing. It's just a rubber cap I put on top of the opening. Works well.

To install the BOV, did you have to get an adapter plate?

Quickfini 10-29-2003 11:50 PM

You need the 3rd generation FD specific flange.

RX-187 10-30-2003 09:51 PM

So a FD specific BOV would be a direct fitment to the stock one without anything else?

Quickfini 10-31-2003 09:31 PM

Yeah, your FD specific flange will attach onto your after market bov, and will just hook up to ur stock rubber tubing.

How does that HKS ss sound? Is it louder than venting the stock bov?
