OK i dont know what the heck is wrong but i installed an Apexi AVCR. Worked perfectly and was fine. I recently took my car to get worked on, installed boost gauge, air/fuel gauge, koyo radiator, as well as new spark plugs and worked on some fan issues with the relays. now im not boosting at all, oh one more thing i changed my idle rpm from about 1500 while breaking it in to 8-900. i have not yet reprogrammed the BC with these new idle times, it is reading my rpms fine and the boost gauge on the avcr and regular boost gauge gets to 0 psi and stops???? what is wrong please? the solenoid valve controller is still connected properly, any suggestions from u rotary genuises......do i need to reconfigure the rpm and gears on the avcr? and since puttin in the koyo my add coolant light has come on and a loud noise rings in my car but it has plenty of fluid in it?/ thanks yall. and i just bought a microtech so im trying to figure this out, one more thing, my air/fuel read me running a lil rich, but i havent changed any of the fuel settings?? thanks Ian

Boost Leak??? its going straight to 0 and noe boost. whats wrong

Yes, reconfigure RPM levels as close to standard as you can and then see how the boost runs. As for the fuel mixtures, go and get it tuned, you wont be sorry.

you either have a bad coupler(ripped, or not clamped properly), or you tapped the wrong hole for the boost source for your gauges

he tapped into the hose that leads to the BOV i think.. i hear my turbos spooling, and the slightest release of air, i have to roll windows down to hear it, but its reading 0 boost, now there is a slight pinch in the very thin boost gauge hose. would that affect it. that would affec the reading not the amount of boost ocming out. does someone agree with me, it seems as if my wastegate is completely open and allowing the boost to just die or??????????

anyone? anyone? it should be getting fixed today ill update, got new pics of my engine and gauges, ive gotten good reviews on my gauges.

Do not tap into the BOV vacuum line. Give the boost gauge it's own line. Also, probably is just a busted coupler. RE-check all your hose clamps starting at the turbos and ending at the throttle body.

if you are getting the correct vaccuum numbers... then there is no reason you shouldnt get boost, although you need to address that "pinch".



the wastegate is set for around 8lbs if its not controlled. if its stuck open you will still get boost, but you will just generate it slower. and you will still be able to reach 8lbs if the rest of the system is working properly that is.



have you inspected all the couplers, piping, and clamps for cracks? to lose that much boost means you have a significant gaping hole somewhere.



start by checking the coupler for the Y pipe, this tends to get very brittle because of the heat from the turbos, then check the crossover pipe, since it is made of plastic, its a failure waiting to happen, they tend to crack aroudn where the mounting holes are. check the plastic endtanks on the intercooler, and all the plastic hoses going to and coming from it. inspect the rubber couplers on them, they are rubber, they will get brittle with age. make sure you have all the clamps... finally, take the elbow off, and look carefully at the seems... it is also made of plastic and can crack easily.



if you still dont get boost... get a new boost gauge hehe

does the car feel slow as ****?... if so... you have a bad coupler.. Fix it.. cause it could also be drawing sand/debris in under vacuum.



if it's fast but reads the gauge reads 0............. you have a bad guage. Tap into the nipple thats on the UIM . normally there is nothing going there..it jsut has a cap over it.
