I made two of these boost controllers. They are ball and spring type. One for pre controller one for boost controller. Can someone please tell me which side goes to acuator and which side goes to turbo nipples? I just want to make sure i don't switch them around. Also If i want to use my PFS ecu to controll boost, since i have settings for 10, 12, and 14 psi, Should i set this manual one to 14 or to 10 or what?

Thanks guys

come on guys, someone probably uses manual boost controllers.

I use a manual boost controller but not that kind. I use a turbosmart with my Purple box.

Uhmm I would set the PMS at 14 psi. Then tune the knob for 12 psi. I am guessing that you are tunned safely to run that much.

Yes, I have enough mods for 12. Since all boost controllers work similarly, which sides goes where on your controller?

Mine is directional. It has an arrow that points to the actuator.

I have no idea which way your should be. Try it both ways, one will work well the other will not.

Your not gonna hurt anything if you hook it up wrong.

I assume from lookin atthe pic you posted the nipple that point down should go to the actuator and th other goes to the turbo.

Question, could you use a 2nd BOV, to control boost or over boost problems? Seems to me you could just set it to a specific PSI and it would vent unwanted boost. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

No. A second BOV will not solve overboost problems. A pop-off valve would help.. But not a BOV, as the BOV only works upon release of the throttle (when some of the positive manifold pressure might trail back to the compressor resulting in surge)

Help me if my verbage is screwed up... I'm not too hot at explaining ****...
