so i started out having an overheating problem and i was gonna take it to a staffs but i couldn't get there without it overheating. so i end up going to the mazda dealer in the automall because its waaaay closer. they checked it out and "apparently" a coolant hose was leaking and causing my problem. got it fixed and when i picked it up an drove off, everything was working fine, let the car warm up and i went for a spirited drive no problems. couple miles down the road, more overheating. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png so i take it back and the mechanic messes with it a bit. turns out there was a bit of air the the cooling system, and the fans dont come on unless the a/c is on. they couldnt do anything more so i left it there for the weekend. i was supposed to be contacted before they did anything to it on monday. they failed to contact me and proceeded with a compression test. now heres my big dilemma, apparently the apex seal is shot on the rear rotor and theres no compression and theres no power and thats why im overheating bla bla bla. but i can drive the car just fine with the a/c on and no overheating, but when i start to boost it its like the engine just wants to die. this never happend before the compression test. ive checked all the vaacuum hoses and everythings connected. i dont know what vip mazda is trying to do but they really pissed me off. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif any help other than vips mazda's is greatly appreciated. i tryed to explain this the best i could, sorry if anybody gets confused.

oh and if this helps. i have a boost gauge, air:fuel, cat-back exhaust and the precat is eliminated. the rest is stock

What's your mileage?



Overheating can be a coolant problem yes, weak engine/turbo's can be an air leak or compression problem, and bad compression is usually a seal problem.



You've got all sorts of it going on. I would refrain from going to Mazda and try a local Rotary Shop (as local as you can find one) who can properly diagnose the car.



These cars run hot as it is, so you need to be sure your Radiator, Coolant, Fans, etc. are all in tip-top shape if not BETTER than stock condition/performance...

i fixed it actually. turns out mazda screwd up the ecu. all i had to do was reset it and the car ran fine.
