I was looking to gain a little bit more power, i already have a 3" downpipe/midpipe setup, RE intake and a power fc. I have a turboxs manual boost controller from a previous car i had and i was wondering if turning to boost up to 12-14 psi would hurt anything as long as i added a little bit more fuel with th pfc

you can run 12 lbs if you can safely control it and not have spikes. If you spike while running 12 psi, more than likely you'll be hitting the 15-16 psi range on a spike and bye bye motor.



People here will say that you can run more than 12 psi, but I deff would not without injectors and fuel pump. I'd recommend injectors and fuel pump even running 12 psi, I know Amp on the forums runs 12 but he does have upgraded injectors so.. up to you and how long you want your motor to run for.

IF you ran a cat I would say no problem without the cat boost creep is a problem. I run 12lbs on conservatively tuned car and don't have any problems. I currently have new injectors at stock size and the stock fuel pump. The next time my car goes in I will be upgrading with a Competition fuel pump, FMIC intercooler, custom radiator setup, and 850 primary injectors. Then it will be Dyno tuned shooting for 15lbs of boost. The last part is the most important, tuned by someone who knows what they're doing. In this case it’s my engine builder rebuilt the motor recently.



Just make sure that someone who knows how to tune RX-7’s does it. It cost a ton of money to rebuild one if break because of detonation.

would i be better off going up in size on all 4 injectors or just the secondaries??

i met a local guy who was making around 400 t the wheels stock turbos and motor. mods were that i knew of were a power fc. im guessing injectors were upgraded also. in the dyno sheet data base found in the dyno sheet forum it says he was running 18 or 19 pounds.

I would start with taking primaries to 850 assuming the injectors are in good shape. With the boost you're looking for that will get you out of the red zone of duty cycle above 85%. If you find you need more you can then upgrade the secondaries. Upgrading to massive injectors will just lower there duty cycle and as long as you're not over 85% it's not going to help. On the other hand going big wont hurt either. Also don't expect to make more than 350whp without a good street port.

I just got my rx7.com fuel rail with 1600cc injectors, fuel pump, and a few other goodies along with a datalogit for my power FC. I plan to run 15psi if 91 octane is good enough.

right now i ahve a full exhaust,intake and PFC. i am running 12 psi and my injectors are kind of messed up. i ahve bogging when i run my stock ecu but with the PFC its fine. i think the 12psi force my injectors open. once u make a hole it cant me close.i would advice to upgrade the injectors and fuel system.
