For those of you using the upgraded aluminum shifter bushing, does the bushing stay on the lower ball of the shifter? I bought a bushing and it seems the diameter of the bushing is larger than the stock nylon one. Is this suppose to be how it is?

When I installed mine, I had to beat the hell out of it to get it on...

aftermarket or stock shifter? if aftermarket.. what brand?

mine was really snug on a stock shifter... but no problems installing it

mine i had to tap it on the b&m

i got the mazda comp one off a member on the other forum, them seem to be about the same size but the aluminum one has a larger inner bore making it loose (easily falls off) the shifter ball. I am using the stock shifter. Should I jsut grease it up and install it? has anyone else tried the one from mazda?

I've used both and they look the inner diameter looks the same but the nylon/plastic one is flexible and easier to install and remove but then more prone to crack.

Mine was the same way; the stock bushing is tighter.
