Well, I am just a few hours worth of work away from erasing all the damage from my lil fender bender.

I'll be glad to have a car that requires no work, at least for a couple of months.

Well If I had brought it home and painted it as opposed to getting the tuning done, yea.

But I wanted have the car running first. No rush. I'm a patient guy.

details on how you did it and materials used !

Take some masking paper, lay your bumper up on it. Pull a freehand line of the shape you want for your air dam on only one half. Fold the paper and transfer the line to the other side so that both sides are identical.

Once you have that get a large board and lay the pattern paper on it. Cover over that with wax paper and tape it down. Only thing left to do is cut some fiberglass strips to that shape. Lay it in place and resin it down. I used some pretty thick chopped strand mat. I did four layers. Its about 3-4mm thick. I added some black pigment to the resin to help. But after it's cured sand it smooth, get the final shaped feathered out and paint it with whatever you like. If you are not familiar with working with fiber glass and epoxies I suggest searching the net. There is a ton of info and any true hobbiest should know how to use that stuff anyway if you ask me.
