need some help, i just got my twin turbo rebuilt and i dont wont to put the air pump back in as it takes up to much room, & im getting two podfilters put in, i've got the belt for no ac its all ready to go but do i have to get anything else done to the car or will it run ok?



its a 1996 rx7

Without a PFC I think you might have some trouble with the idle, loping or stalling, and you have some risk of plugging up your cat over time.

EDIT: Neither of these things seems to be universal from car to car. Some report no problems at all, while others have alot of problems.

a removal that snowballs..

youll need plates to block off the offending ports as soon as you remove emissions..

might as well remove the system entirely if your ditchin the pump..

youll need a new belt and pullies for your alt and water pump as well...

thanks, dont need to worry about plugging up my cat i dont have one,i think i will leave it on at the moment its waiting on the new belts and i will take it of then and see what happens at idle. is there any chance of the car running rich?

AFAIK, no, it shouldn't make it run rich. If your opening up the intake and not running a cat, do you have a good boost controller? I think there's a bigger danger of running too lean.

thanks heaps, i do have a good greddy profec e-01 boost controller with the greddy e-manage engine management system, but im still waiting 4 my car 2 get the custom intake system finish and then i can put all the greddy stuff in my car i cant wait. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif
