Hey,
i got a 2001 nardi steering wheel, and i took my old steering wheel off and the problem is that the wires on the new airbag are both red. on the stock wheel they are brown with a strip and a black wire. so my question is how do i know which wires go where since the new ones are both red. the reason i have to know is because the airbag connector is different from ours. so i am going to cut the old one off and attach it to the new one.
thanks
john

My guess is to get a AA battery and touch it to the original wires. If you get an air bag light on then you have the wires backwards and then you know which is positive and which is negative.
The nardi wires.. I would assume that the black is the negative ground wire.
Thats totaly my guess..

i'd just say never have your head line dup with the airbag while testing out the wires such as with the aa battery trick or whatever...when i work in that area i always do my best to prevent an accidental discharge of the bag from removing my head from wher eit should be, if ya know what i mean...******* airbags, if they dont hit you they burn you, stupid ****.

first of all air bags are bombs, treat it that way. if you set it on the ground bag down, and set it off it will fly about 3 stories in the air, be careful.
second, the air bag computer is seperate from the ecu.
third, the horn should have one wire and the airbag 2

hmmm maybe you can just look at the airbag and find out... look at the stock one and see which wire is coming out from where and then hook it up to the corresponding wire coming out of the new air bag... maybe you could just put the old air bag into the new wheel... thought about trying that?

how about this. dont hook the airbag up! people always run with their's switched off and all, if you like the wheel so much and dont wanna set the bomb off then just set up the horn... if both wires are the same EXACT color, would nt it mean you could run the ground either way... if it was meant to be a certian way the colors would definitly be different.
