well, i just put the block off plates on my car, and was wondering how to 'trick' all of those sensors that i am eliminating by blocking off the acv and the other solenoids that are congruent...

i know about the ones for the rats nest solenoids. they are 330 ohm 1/2 watt, with male connectors.

are they the same for all of them?

vosko....jspec....fd3....neone?

the ones on the acv i just unscrew and leave them plugged in, or you could measure the resistance and get the right resistor

if you get or have a powerFC you can just unplug all that crap the PFC doesn't care. the stock ecu does https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

i have some 330ohm/ 1/2 watt resistors. i believe that they will suffice.

how do i attach the resistors to the connectors? there are 2 ends to the resistors,a dn two and maybe three prongs on the connectors.........how do i hook it up...

Hmmm I can't help you any as I have not done that yet to learn it. But make sure you let us know when you find a solution.

as a temporary fix, you can just leave the solenoids plugged in until you get resistors...

r_xplicit 10-25-2002 07:53 PM

one resistor on each one of the connectors.....connected with female quick connects is what i am going to try.....this is what ej mack said on the other forum. well, his reply was not put so nicely, or completely....

dude i did this mod, all you have to do is take the resistor and hook a male on each end. make sure you shrink wrap the metal so they dont short out. just take the 2 male ends and plug them inot the plug. thats all. if you have a 94 or a cali car you need to do the relay trick to the egr. i have put how to do that mod on another thread, i think its something about an egr code and how to get rid of it. these mods are sooooo easy it almost hurts me to think some people shy away from them. after i did these mods i think i only have like 3 vaccum lines left. makes that rat nest go away. if you have further questions shoot me a pm i will try and answer your questions as best i can. later sully
