anyone here canceled out there entire ABS set up? its pretty ugly to me. and i wanna mount my FC1000 ignition set up there. and i cant remember a time where i have hit the brakes hard enough to use it. so what all is invloved in canceling it out?

If it's a street car I'd say leave it TBH, could save your life one day. People argue that it increases braking distances for good drivers, but when that artic pulls out in front of you, cadence braking is probably going to be the last thing on your mind!

Check the FAQ's at the top of the page or run a search. There were a couple of us that axed the ABS a while back. I happen to like not having the ABS. It's been out of my car for a couple of years now. It took some time to get the bias adjusted just right and then to get used to driving without being able to lock them up. It works just fine for me now. It definitely makes working on anything turbo side of the engine about 90% easier.

yea ive removed the abs from both my fc's and i'm definitely considering it for the FD as well, it takes up so much room and i personally prefer the feel of non-abs.

it's still not that easy to look your tires up.

I love ABS. Saved my ass a few times on the street.

What needs to be disconnected/capped/anything to remove the ABS?

Well you need to remove the entire ABS unit. There is a thread on this in the FAQ. I pinned it at the top of the page for you. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.gif

ok...so i can be slow at times but i just want to make sure a brake balancer and proportioning valves ar the same thing before i buy one.

and i am going to cancel my ABS. i decided this after reading the write up in the FAQ section.

i wount need new lines at all right? i'll just have them going into the proportioning valve/brake balance controller?
