having a little trouble with my rx-7

i just got a super afc 2 and i need to know a couple of thing

like how many cyclinders is the rx-7 suppose to have since there is not a rotor setting

all so does anyone have on installed and what do you have it set on

Heres some good advice. sell it to someone you know. the safc's are not too helpfull on our cars, something to do with timing and the stock ecu i believe. I had one and replaced for a pfc

Not necessarily true. I know Dragon made 390+ hp on an SAFC and aftermarket ECU. However, it's just better to run a Power FC.

You put it on 4 cylinder arrow up.

but thats the key the aftermarket ecu. but with the money spent on that and the safc why not just be a real pimp and go pfc? ehh prolly ease of mind with the reflash.

At the time, the Power FC was either being developed or it was entirely too expensive. Now with Power FC prices being so cheap, it's smarter just to get the PFC and save yourself a ton of money since it does everything.

thanks for the input i will look into the pfc

what is the max boost you think i could run on stock turbos

sweet7 01-08-2006 04:11 PM

14psi

Yes and no. Safe boost without concern for reliability of the turbos...then you can go as high as you want just so long your tuning is on point and your running good gas.

If your going to run stock turbos AND want them reliable AND your going to run pump gas...14psi. If you don't care, plus run C16...max boost is as high as your tuner/gas can handle.

jspecracer7 01-10-2006 06:11 PM

Have you looked up the PDF file located on the apexi usa website? That is where I found my settings. Should be Pressure setting.
