hey every1
Okay this is my problem. Im getting a 8-5-3 boost pattern. Before i bought the car, i had the turbos looked @ by a local rx-7 guy and he said they checked out okay. Recently i had a Mazduh tech look over the vaccuum lines and he said all were attached. I lose boost right before the transition and it keeps falling off until redline. Any thoughts on whats goin on? My original thoughts were it might be a faulty solenoid because the secondary turbo is not opening up and i dont hear the "whoosh" of either turbo after 4k. plmk if youve got ne ideas about this. Thanx, Zach |
so does the second turbo work? if it does then maybe you have plugged pre cat.

a clogged pre-cat can totally negate ur secondary turbo? I thought it would just drop ur top-end boost from 10psi to something like 8 because of backpressure....

I ma thinking vacum leak but that is the only place I have ever had any problems out of the stock setup. You could always go through and check each solonoid one at a time.

Did you check the lines between the y pipe and the charge relief vavle. The large 5/8 black hose? It's a thought.
|
check the coupler between the y pipe and the IC piping...thats what caused my massive boost leak
|
Did you get it figured out?

Im making 8psi on the primary so it's got plenty to go into transition. I'm thinking it has to be a solenoid and not the piping or couplers because i dont even hear the secondary spooling. BTW, whats the name of the solenoid that opens up the secondary? CRV?

sounds like somebody needs to go non-seq to get rid of these problems https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
Plus its easier to trouble shot non-seq... Josh |
