I checked on Car-stats.com and they say 0-60 is 6s and 1/4 time is 14.5. Do you think thats true, because if thats true, thats preety messed up. How do you think the basic version performs in contrast to the r1 , r2.

All the FD's perform the same. Regardless of the trim. At least that's what I understand. They aren't THAT slow... but they aren't as fast as some people say they are either...

you're gunna feel the difference of r1 and base and touring mostly on the turns..... straight forward you'll get teh same performance from all of them
