Which plug wires are better? 10mm taylor wires or 10mm magnecore

For the coil wiring harness I heard the new style had the ground removed so I took mine apart and removed the ground. Any problem with this? dont wanna blow up the car after I put it back lol

Where can I get a pfc commander mount? Please post pics of yours. I want the cleanest and best mount has to face the driver while driving and can't ruin dash or anything to install must be removable. Also I want it to be real small so you can hardly see it

thanks guys

1. both are really good wire sets

2. Not sure why they removed it, or why you did either, "if it is'nt broke, don't fix it.

3. universal cell phone holder, $10

Has it run without the ground? Usually the ground is necessary, and if it's removed, it's replaced in another fashion..

well they updated the wiring harness because the ground was too close to the coils and it was causing arking

they totally removed it as far as I know. I guess the wiring harness has to have a ground right? It does plug into the main harness which has lots of grounds though.

I'm surprised not many people know about this....

Any way I have a 94 I'm not sure I like that glovebox mount or that it will work with the new glovebox. Plus I cant get mine open right now its the only thing broken on my car.

if you could find one, one of sleddriver's mounts looks good IMO. mounts to the right of the upper din panel. i don't think he makes them anymore though

snook 11-07-2003 02:54 PM

that's the only thing of sled drivers that I dont have

I have the passenger footrest and a pedal set

someone sell it to me!

I'll try to send you picture of my mount. It's a custom job, but I like it. I had to pull the dash and make an aluminum mounting plate but it wasn’t that hard. It mounts where the faux button is located on the right side of the instrument console. Not sure if your model actually has a button there or not. Aside from the mounting plate, I just got this universal phone mount from radio shack and modified it slightly. I like the location and the phone mount is perfect. It’s like it was made for the commander.
