I need to upgrade my fuel system pretty bad since i have a 62-1 and the only fuel upgrade i have is a fuel pump. Now i really wanted to do a 1600 CC inj with new fuel rail SX reg and all new 6AL lines. Plus no one around me has a datalogit to tune it with. Now if i get 1300 CC inj can i drop them right in? and can i move the 850's down to the primary rail? I know i can tune for the 1300's off of the commander. Is there any thing else i would need or can i just buy those 2 1300 CC inj move the 850's down and retune?

i have 1300's..... but if you can get the 1600's and resistors with new rails i would do that.... they end up being around the same price.....

i believe the 850's wont fit in the primary rails without some mods to the rail itself.(not 100% sure on that though) also most people who have 1300's send their stock 850's to get bored out into 1300s. but yeah 1300s fit in the stock secondary rail without modification.

Why dont you just buy a datalogit...its like 300 bucks

totally worth it

850's will NOT fit into the stock rail without modification. Actually, they will fit, but you'll leak fuel for days. You have to mod them so they won't leak.

well if i do get 1600's what all do i need. How hard is it to install a SX fuel reg? and do i really need to even touch my primarys?

if you have a good tuner, there's no need for upgrading primaries unless your making some serious power. Most people are running 550/1600's with NO problems.

The fuel regulator isn't hard to install at all. You just have to run fuel lines to it.

i would upgrade the primaries, every part of the fuel system should be upgrade when making anything over325whp.

for the moding of the primary fuel rail, all you need to do is mill it 1/16 of inch, but its up to you.

*my mind thinking*

one question i do have for jspecracer7 is, why would the injectors leak? is it because they are short so they would move around the rail? if this is the reason, ive heard of putting an extra 0-ring in there, but i didnt know if that would work or not.

well if i do do the 1600's i know i need the 1680's plus a new fuel rail. do i have to get the sx fuel reg? does it really make a diff? And how many 6AL lines will i need is there a kit i can just buy?

what about 1600 X 4 i know some people have done that or is it just way too much fuel?
