If so I was just wondering how you dealt with the rack. Leave fluid in and plug the ports, drain fluid and plug ports, run a hose between the 2 ports. Just want some ideas as to what method you used, so I can decide which way I'm going to do it

Leaving fluid in there and plugging the holes works well.

That would be ideal, but there never was a manual rack for FD's, at least none that I ever heard of. I believe that you have to work something out if you want to keep your A/C.

done which...

id prefer the latter as i have concerns...

I kept the rack. I looped the P/S rubber lines and looped the hard pipe line above itselft. Works real nice and is a little easire on the wheel this way. I just removed the belt at first and like it but doing the real conversion makes it a little easier.

how do you plan on maintaining it......

Fe3Boost 09-03-2002 01:00 PM

It is now self contained. There is no maintaining what so ever.

-Rikki

Or do I misunderstand you?

jspecracer7 09-03-2002 01:06 PM

I removed my P/S and just looped the lines together with some steel braided hose.

I've looked into getting a manual rack for my FD. It looks like a manual rack from an FC will work. The only thing that will need to get modified is the rack MOUNTS since they're different on the FD. Won't be too hard though...nothing like a welder and grinder to fix stuff https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif
