I got my BOV in the mail today but upon recieving it i realized that i cant directly mount it on any way. Apparently i need a flange. However to weld a flange you need an aluminum pipe first. The stock pipe is plastic, what do you guys do to mount your BOV and what direction do you face it? Thanks.

FrestyleFC3S 01-15-2004 09:21 PM

stock piece is aluminum... o_O what?

Dramon_Killer 01-15-2004 10:07 PM

Is there any way that i can get a flange without ordering one from Greddy? Think any local shops might have one?

bro.

its a PIPE WITH A HOSE COMING OUT THE SIDE.

im sure you can invent something. i swear if i hear you complain about not having money cause you need to pay for some high school dance i will drive to OK and kill you, your family, ill even bring your dead famiyl members up from the grave just to kill them again for being related to you.

of course that doesnt count if you have a flange on the BOV, my past two BOV's had no flanges just pipes that connected to my pipe with a hose.

The BOV has a flange. And i'm not gonna buy a fugging kit. I found out today one of my friends does TIG welding so i'm just gonna buy some pipes and have him weld me something together. It just really irks me that Greddy makes this **** require so many more parts to mount the BOV just so they can make more money.

I have, i've looked at some other people i know's BOV setups and they're really similar to yours so i thought, cakewalk. And seeing stuff in person isnt really available to me as the only speedshop in town we have is nothing mroe than a guy who orders stuff for you from a catalog with a 20% markup.

Owell, i'm just glad my friend TIG welds.

did you but the BOV used or new? Greddy is ussually pretty good about having the entire kit for the car in its package. If you bought this used, you should have realized not all parts may be included for your application.

phinsup 01-16-2004 05:27 AM

I can get a flange out to you, but overnight shipping will run you a bit LOL

He bought it brand new, from me, I asked him if he wanted the flange, he said no. The flange is separate with the universal BOV.
