Long story short, bitch in front of my slammed on her brakes and mine locked, nothing I could do.

There's damage to the unibody. Shoved my front in about 3 inches without damaging either fender. It did damage my bumper and core supports.

I can get the new hood, bumper and lights for $225 Total. If you need parts for your FC, email me and I can put you in touch with my friend.

225 plus at least 500 I'm gonna say for straightening and labor. Worth fixing? It's a low mileage rebuild with 60k since the rebuild. It's in great condition other than this damage, and the A/C having a leak at the compressor somewhere.

get it apart to see how extensive the damage is but that looks like a pretty easy fix.

I'd fix it!

from those pictures you posted it does not appear to have extensive damage, or even unibody damage at all.

The bumper brackets may not even be bent since the damage appears to mostly be in the center of the bumper. Hell, the bumper itself may not even be damaged but until you get the cover of it's impossible to tell.

Looks like an easy fix. Its really soft **** from the rad support forward.

:(

I myself am not allowed to mess with anything, my insurance company would have a field day! USAA rocks but they're picky. I'm just glad I have full coverage. Problem is, as stated, you really don't know what the **** happened until you pull it apart. I looked at it and the bumper itself, I'm assuming, is that big black metal pieces. It doesn't look damaged, it seems like the foam and the hood took most of the impact, but it did damage my core support (Rad, whatever) Because I went under her, my hood latch did the majority of the damage to the support itself. However, both headlight assemblies are destroyed but the lights themselves are fine. The driver's side bar ahead of the coolant bottle and just behind the bumper, is bent pretty bad on that side and folded the longitudinal support.

I'm leaking something. Are both hoses on the cap for the coolant bottle supposed to be connected to something? Because neither are, but I'm not overheating or anything. I've never seen more than one overflow cap hose.

That thing to the right of the right(Passenger) side headlight, with a presure cap on it, what is that? Leaking something from from there I believe.

I actually have a set of headlight covers/headlight assembly in that color. Artic Silver... if your friend cant get 'em, let me know...

Sorry about your car, but it's def worth fixing.

I can get it fixed, including parts, for 800. Now the task is getting that out of my insurance company...

fc3s4utnv 06-05-2006 07:27 PM

To an insurance company its totaled.

QuackDamnYou 06-05-2006 07:32 PM

I have the option to not total it out and get whatever they would pay to get it fixed. I talked to the body shop guys and they said the local adjuster for my insurance company is almost too nice, and should help me out no problem with enough to fix it and then a little extra.
