Hey all, hows it going.

Im going to be putting in a FMIC on a slightly modded TII. I will have a Koyo Radiator, Greddy Profec II, Ported Wastegate, Ported exhaust on turbo, FD Fuel Pump, re-wired fuel pump, new grounds, CAI box with K&N Cone, 3in TID, 3in full exhaust, cleaned injectors. I plan on hitting around 220hp or so and keeping it that way until I rebuild my engine and BNR Stage 4.

With that said, I would use this intercooler until I upgraded the engine. Is it even worth the trouble of fitting this intercooler for the time being, or should I do the ebay route? One thing that is really tempting is the intercooler from CorkSport. 18x11x3in deep. But I look at this, and weigh in the fact that it is free and probably will get someone to weld out the ends to make them flare in opposite directions.

Buddy pulled this FMIC off of a TSI, but said it did not look like any 1st gen talon. Those had side mount intercoolers, the car he pulled it off of had a front mont.

The dimensions are 16x8 and 2.75" deep. The end cap openings are 2"

It seems kind of wierd how the endcaps are on it. The endcaps were on top when mounted to the car, (the left) short one went to the turbo and the long one went to the intake.

Opinions? Would I be better off using a CorkSport or Ebay intercooler? What sizes are appropriate for what I will be running? The reason I want to do FMIC now is so that I can already have it good to go when I upgrade the engine and what not later down the road.

Thanks alot guys https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

EDIT: The way the picture is taken of it, is the way the intercooler was installed on the donor car.

Thats a Starion/Conquest IC . Its 'ok' but the Starion guys upgrade them as they can be a bottleneck. Get the inlets modified to fit the FC and you should be good 2 go.
