ok its an auto. i have the ihnibitor/neutral switch bypassed bc its not working. there is a wire that runs from the ignition connector under the dash straight to the what i think is the starter relay. its a black thing that has a yellow top on it. it has a connector with i think 5 wires coming out. the added wire is into one of these wire spots. its got enough power and i also tried to jump start it but it still didnt work. is that the starter relay? i called the parts store and they didnt even list a number for a relay for it. anyways it just stopped working so any help guys?? thanks

hey does anyone know where theres an fsm online other than fc3s.org

Shane.Trammell 04-09-2004 06:17 PM

can anyone tell me if this thing has a starter relay

Rob x-7 04-09-2004 06:25 PM

black thing with yellow, is there a light blue wire coming

out of it?

is that thing plugged in and where is the extra wire connected to

in that harnesS?

Shane.Trammell 04-09-2004 06:52 PM

there is no light blue wire. it is bolted to the dash frame next to the column. it has a 5 wire connector on it. the other end is in a black connector with one wire that is black with a blue stripe. the part has a black case and then one end is a yellow piece and thats where the connector hooks on.

if i had the digicam i would take a pic but im at work. what would be under there? would there even be a starter relay there?

ok guys come on i know someone has to know what this is. also, i got it started by crossing the to big terminals on the starter solenoid. after that the starter wwouldnt stop firing until i unhooked the battery.

RONIN FC 04-10-2004 06:05 PM

Thats the fuel pump relay.

Shane.Trammell 04-10-2004 11:04 PM

that it is. thanks a lot. now, do you guys think there could be wrong with the starter or solenoid since it was stuck on like that?

Rob x-7 04-11-2004 10:45 AM

the starter can get stuck, by the way thats the same relay

I was telling you about https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

Shane.Trammell 04-11-2004 03:07 PM

so could that cause it to not start by turning the key but start by connecting the terminals on the solenoid?

Shane.Trammell 04-11-2004 07:04 PM

will i be able to get the solenoid off without removing the starter? its an auto

hey pull the cover off and hold the tab the same time you turn the key dont let it close it might start rite up. i had to do this to my 86 and we just had to start doing it to my buddies t2... after it starts let it close

haha yeah. oh well i got it fixed. the prob was the inhibitor switch which has now been bypassed by a wire under the dash. i think im about to buy an inhibitor switch though.
