So I have this wiper switch I'm going to swap out. I got the 4 screws under the steering surround, and the 3 in front of the instrument panel. I've pulled all the knobs off, and I've unplugged the one plug to the wiper controls. I also took out the one screw holding in the top of the wiper controls, behind the steering surround. I still can't get it out, and I'm afraid to break the plastic if I pull and shove too hard.

What am I missing?

you have 4 plugs to remove (headlight switch, headlight motor/defrost, turn signals and cruise control) + 3 screws inside the dash on top, 4 on the botom....you dont need to **** with the steering wheel cover...thats it

I did it the book way and pulled the steering wheel, cover and panel. Gives you more room and less frustration.

after the screws are out you have to manipulate the switch out of the insturment cluster surround..

If you dont have a tilt wheel, you hafta take it off.

I ended up removing all the plugs, removing the top and bottom steering surround, and wiggling out the whole guage surround. The top and bottom column covers didn't have to be removed, but it allowed me more wiggle room.

Everything works now! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif These wipers haven't worked since I got the car. That will be one less frustration.
