I was so excited to get some thing s foixed on the car today. Not working out that way though....

My wipers have only worked in the low settings since I purchased the car. When I shut off the wipers they just stop exactly where they are when I turn the switch. I gotten pretty good at timing the turn off of them by now.

Anyway, I got a "tested and working" switch off of eBay. I just put the switch in, and it is doing the exact same thing. Is it another bad switch? Or is there another problem I should be looking at?

Thanks.

The wire harness could be bad but I really doubt it. Its probably another bad switch the seller yanked out of a junkyard. I'd take it up with him and try to return it.

I just tested it as per pages T-25 and T-26 of the FSM. If I am correct in my interpretations of the readings, I have another bad switch. Here's what I got.

Switch in Mist or II position - 12V (E-SWH)

Switch in I position - 0V (E-SWL)

Switch in INT position - 12V constant, never fluctuated back to 0V (E-SWL)

12V = BAD. Switch should read 0V in order operate. This is why setting I works and none of the others do.

Am I correct? Or totally off base?

Also, it is relatively easy to repair these switches? A matter of resoldering some connections like the clock?

I tried the relay fix a while ago and totally hacked it to ****. Had to get one out of a junkyard after that.

I am just gonna wait till I find one at the junk yard.. Fat chance though since it has to have the cruise control switch on it...

Cruise control is a separate switch. They are just located in the same area. Unless it's really really different in the verts?
