hey sup all ..here is my situation....i currently bought a street ported turboII motor rebuilt of course , but it has no turbo......sadly..................now what you guys think ...will it run good with out the turbo and and the street port .... using that factory s5 na ecu and flow meter... considering it has low compression.....i need it to run like that for at least three months wail i buy my microtech ......i also have a holset turbo (dont know what model) that i plan to use on it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif ....now i've been told that with that turbo i should be able to push around 400 or more at around at 15-20 psi .... but it will have a big lag....what you guys think? oh yeah ....the hot size are is 1.6...and the cold side is around .80

Way back when I was a mechanic someone brought a car in to donate to charity. It was some

old Volvo station wagon. **** brown with tan interior. Anyways the turbo on it was leaking so my

boss had me go back and grab some non turbo setup off a parts car and bolt it on.



Yeah, it was slow but it seemed to run fine. I do know that it ended up being donated and the

folks got a sweet tax rebate.





Talk to S510thAN over on team. He was runnin arround without his turbo trying to figure out an

oil pressure issue.

just based on the thread title i was gonna say no. but it'll run fine if you take the turbo off

Guy I used to work for has a hx-40 on his 5.0 mustang. works great.

im hoping its not too slow with out the turbo.....but what can i do...its only for a few months

any way ...do you think 400 is possible with the holset at moderate low boost.. and what do you think of the lag ....around what rpm do you think ill get 15 psi ... im thinking 45 to 4800 but its a guess

a 1.6....you sure its a 1.6? maybe its a 1.06? a 1.6 would be HUGE.



but whether itll drive good with the turbo depends on the specific turbo and the specific work done to the engine, how big of a port, what manifold, bla bla bla

technically its a 88 turbo 2 motor with 8.5 compression with atkins and a really big street port fully rebuilt... done my kilo racing . i am buying a LT4 microtech and 780cc RC secondaries... as for intake manifold the stock s4t and a custome turbo manifold . i have not decided on intercooler...im considering using the factory top motor since its small and will removes some of the lag and psi drop .. im not sure on the model but yeah it has a 1.6 rear

dude that turbo will be a turd if it is a 1.6. if you are wanting to drag, you better have a good auto trans with a transbrake, or youhave gonna have to two step it at 7k rpms. that sob is ******* big.

1.6 is like....p-port size id guess.



wayyyyyyyyyyy too big for a street port.

I'd say use a T2 ecu and AFM if you have it. But it should be fine. I think the street port would compensate alittle for the lower compression.
