My windshield wiper switch only works on setting 2 won't return to the down position when i shut it off, also when i take a hard left the squinter button falls out.https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR This one is kinda cool some times I get a little fireballs from the exhaust when shifting @ 7k or so i'm told from people driving behind me, that flag me down at the next light telling me that my car is shooting fireballs out the exhaust! after fixing the passanger door lock, the drivers side now won't unlock with the key. This is the same day I realized that my car has a security system, boy did I look like and ass in mcdonalds parking lot trying to get my car to stop honking and finally figuring out that i needed to unlock the door with the key instead of just getting in and trying to start it. I welcome you to the world of rx-7s i take it you own a fc ? haha i had a 86 gxl and the thing was stricken **** . word to the wise make sure you dont short out the alarm . im pretty sure ( unless it was just my fc) it hooks up to your main injector rely . i had a fun time rewiring and pulling my hair out .

Does yours beep 5 times and puase and then 5 times then puase and then 5 times until you shut the car off and turn it back on then a couple minutes later does the same thing? I want to rip the little beeper out if I can find it! lol. |

i have a rattle between my steering colum and dash im too lazy to fix my r/f tire leaks out the valve stem i have new metal stems im too lazy to put in my adjustible sway bars links sqeek sometimes im to lazy to lube them my trans some how still works the corksport shifter thats not supposed to rattle, RATTLES!! my headlights fall down out of their sleepy position right before left always thats it my car is coming along nicely 84k and kicking super hard lol |
The weirdest thing about my fc is the fact that after 211,000 kms NOTHING is wrong with it. Bought it and expected bunches of little things to haunt me, instead all I've had to do is replace a couple cracked trim pieces. Of course once I start tinkering, all hell with probably break loose :P

My tach just started sounding like a turbo over 4k, The headlight switch brings the headlights up, but I need to push the dimmer switch forward to get the interior lights on, Ya.. The wiper switch thing. Gotta tap it to make it work, My car did the fireball thing after going to straight through exhaust, but quit when I unplugged the relief solenoid connector, Takes forever to warm up since I put a new "Factory" thermostat. Im going back to stant. The alarm came on the other day for no real reason. The neighbors banged on my door and woke me up after it went off for an hour. All this fun stuff with only 53000 original miles... Its worth it though, my 7th '7. Definately a girl car.. gotta keep her happy. Jim |
oh geeze where do i start. i live in az and bought my car from, well for a lack of a better phrase, a spic. The damn wireing is beaner rigged to hell.

I think my exhaust is bullocks. I have a RB header to put on instead of the stock exhaust cast iron block...and I need to get rid of my most-likely-plugged-up catalytic converted that is not hooked up to the airpump and hasnt been for 5 months. And the HP reading was off the G-tech-like program in my Kenwood cd/mp3/ipod player that I had bought along with the throttle assembly I fucked up upon re-assembly... The car is sleeping now thank god I'm searching for a garage I can rent so I can properly work on it. |
My seat belt light is almost always on. Luckily it doesn't beep though.
The really interesting thing is that now and then when I'm driving I'll notice that both the seat belt light and the charge light are on, but very dimly. However, if the shift up light on the dash comes on, both of the idiot lights go out. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.gif Then, as soon as the shift up light goes out again, both the idiot lights come back on. If I hit a hard bump or whack the dash, the charge light will go out and the seat belt light will go on fully. The front right tire rubs if I have the wheel cranked to the left while backing up, but not while going forward. |

my car wont start on the PFC but will on the stock ecu with a 3 bar map no mafs 720cc primary injectos, and rewired secondary coil....go figure.. lol

yeah, my dumb ass had the ground on the engine not at the trans, but i fixed that before i got it to start on the stock ecu, also found one of my grounds to the engine wasnt tight ( bolt was too long for the hole so i though it had it tightened down on the ground but not so much) but i will double check the COR, i see it says make sure its on the dash harness not the engine harness so ill have to make sure i didnt fudge that up...
but yeah, on topic, my car never really did anything that weird...i had a sweet varying idle once, but then i fixed the vac leak....lol |

90 gxl n/a 6-port. mild street port, header, exhaust, cold air and coilovers. oh ya. previous owner removed air pump, aux.port actuators and acv.
rought/jumpy idle below 1000 rpm wipers dont park and intermittent doesnt work idle goes weird when warm and clutch is depressed. seems to run lean until about 6000 rpm |
