The other week I just finished installing a new bonez street/comp clutch and swapped out my transmission. Last night while driving around with the guys I noiced a wierd niose coming from the clutch. It sound like someone rubbing together two pieces of fine grit sandpaper. The sound goes with the rpm speed of the motor. When the clutch is engaged and the transmission is put into gear it goes away completely. The clutch is 300 miles into its 500 mile breakin. Is this normal? Does it need adjustment? If so, how would i adjust? Can I adjust it with the transmission still in? Please tell me this is normal. I don't want to have to remove the tranny again to change it.

did you get your flywheel resurfaced? i've heard of this from lightened flywheels. Personally i've never had this problem, but have understood it to be from improperly bedded in clutches. see if it goes away as your new clutch becomes bedded in to your flywheel.

Johann thanks man. I'm actually using the stock 89 flywheel you sold to Eric. He had it resurfaced at the drive line shop here in town. Please tell me it stands a good chance of going away.

i just installed a new clutch as well, mine maks the same noise you are describing, at about 100 miles before the 500 mile break in period i le y father drive it and the ass **** dropped the clutch, i had everything replaced when installed the clutch(clutch kit, pilot bearing, pilot seal, front and rear tranny seals and rear main oil seal) i had the flywheel resurfaced also, i didnt make that noise as soon as i drove it until my ad dropped the ******* clutch  https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif so i ma have a improperly seated clutch now and hes gonna owe me some cash if its fucked, if you did and you know your sure you did everything correctly i wouldnt worry about it, god luck piece
