I would like to know the answer too, Mine is the exact same way.

Thats easy. I have gone through more exhaust systems than I can count on my FC: HKS, GReddy BL, Racing Beat, Apex N1, and still another Racing Beat set (my current system.) If you installed your cat-back system as I did in your driveway flat on your back, its really really hard to get the system bolted up in such a way where it lines up correctly. I ended up having to use a lift, loosen the entire system all the way up the cat and then line up the mufflers and tighten them. It takes a bit of work sometimes, and sometimes you just lucky!

If you don't mind paying a muffler shop 20 bucks, they'll do it for you.

I did it on a lift at work, along with my RB header and pre silencer https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

If its really stubborn, take a rope or chain and physically force the muffler down (or up) while a buddy zips the nuts tights. I had to do that on my GReddy system because it didnt fit worth a damn

Gansta lean?

neil 07-24-2006 11:08 AM

My cat back system has that "Lean" too. I have heard , from a reliable supplier and installer, that the RB system seems to be jigged that way, and even with a jack and other "Persuations" it will still tend to have that twist, till someone hits it with a torch while you torque it where you want it.

I intend to sell off my cat back, now that I passed emmissions, and put in a single exhaust to save weight, as I can't afford the dual RB system. It looks good but I am not sure I can justify the expense or weight, for the power, epsecially torque, gained. I have heard people seem to like it tho.
