I was just kinda curious as to where I could find some. I'm not sure if I really wanna go with them (I bet they're expensive, huh), but someone pulled a hit and run on my rear fender in a parking lot while I was in the store. I'm just kinda interested in the prices. Mainly, I'm looking for the big ol' rear fender/roof/rear panel. I probably won't have the money, but I always work better when I'm going for a goal... might as well set one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png

no such thing, not for a street car anyways.

I dont think anyone ever made a fiberglass body for a FC, but

maybe one of the guys in Japan can confirm this.

usually the rear quarter panels/roof is the only steel parts left on a

race car and they go with FG fenders, doors, hood, sometimes a one

piece lift off design.

PPC-Racing 01-09-2004 03:37 AM

Thier are CF doors, ( int & ext), CF rear hatch, and CF fenders.. no rear 1/4 panels though. You can try the URAS, monkey magic body kit,. it looks like it might have a wide body rear end.. but not too sure. THiers one other kit out there that s a full on, (MkIV build up style), wide body kit for the FC. it's a pure drift kit, but I'm not saying much till I get it into the shop from Japan.

Pyrrian 01-09-2004 05:25 AM

Awesome, thanks for the info!

tell tekniks you have CF doors so he stops nagging me

who sells all these CF parts anyhow?

by the way, when I said FG/CF body, I meant the 1/4 panels and roof

the other bolt on stuff I did say someone might make them and

to try the japenese guys.

PPC-Racing 01-10-2004 09:26 PM

i've never seen these parts here in northamerica, but if you were looking for someone good to make them fiber images in Ca. would be the place to start.

THe places i've seen them are in the hard core jap tuner shops. if you have a firend who speaks japaneese then I'll see if I can't find the phone number

rob x-7 has a friend that speaks Japanese https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

It just so happens I do have friends who speak Japanese! I'd love to get a hold of that shop. Mainly, I'm looking to lighten the car this summer, which is why I'm going through all this. Thanks again for the info!

Lets be realistic; if you had the money you would have an FD....

Funny story. My dad liked my NA FC so much, he bought an FD six months later. Anyways, someday I do hope to own an FD, but I want to build something that is fast and Normally Aspirated first. Note, also, that I'm planning to get into autocross not dragging, and my car should hold up just fine for that.

Oh I have no doubt about that, but a Cf body would be insane amount of $$$$..

Pyrrian 01-12-2004 11:07 AM

True, but it's definitely something to work towards! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

7mech 01-12-2004 11:53 AM

I'm kind of interested in this also. I'm in the market for some new fenders and a new nose to go with my fc3s.org hood. If anyone has anymore info on this please bring it up. I won't be buying these right away, but in a couple of months I will. Thanks.

Rob x-7 01-12-2004 11:59 AM

stock fenders weight 17lbs, stock bumper cover weighs nothing, there isnt much weight to be saved there.

even the FC3s hood is only a 4 pound saving over the stock aluminum

hood.

CF/FG 1/4 panels and roofs arent meant for street cars, they are

usually attatched to a back half'ed car tubes.

7mech 01-12-2004 12:09 PM

Rob I'm not looking to save wieght, eventhough it's an added bonus in this deal. What I'm really looking for are some rare body panels that can withstand hail and look really good when painted. Currently my car looks like a golfball due to some serious hail damage. I want my car to look good again and I don't want some jackass just filling it with body filler. Also the fc3s.org hood was cheaper then a stock hood even after shipping. Thanks for your opinion, but I'd rather have some cool parts.

Rob x-7 01-12-2004 12:13 PM

corksport sells fg fenders

have you looked into PDR?

RONIN FC 01-12-2004 12:23 PM

http://www.mariahmotorsports.com/ has a wide body kit if you like that type of thing.

7mech 01-13-2004 06:56 AM

Thanks Ronin but the Mariah kit looks too much like the MKIII supra when applied to a 2nd gen imho. Personally I'd like my 2nd gen RX7 to look like a 2nd gen RX7.

Rob I'll check out corksport. I didn't know they had fg fenders.

7mech 01-13-2004 07:08 AM

Rob your getting closer. They have the Feed widebody kit. I believe those panels are made of metal. Also that whole kit is very exspensive and I wouldn't trust any body shop in my local area to install it without ******* it up. Basically what I'm looking for are stock style replacements.

j200pruf 01-13-2004 05:33 PM

Did you look at the GTO-II Kit at Mariahmotorsports, its a old IMSA GTO kit, looks awsome.

There is very little, if any weight to be saved on an FC without gutting the interior.

There are far better ways to spend your money to be unique. I could do it all myself, and I *still* couldnt justify doing all that.

7mech 01-15-2004 10:47 AM

It's not just that I want to be unique. I have some severe hail damage and need new fenders. I figured that I would just get something different.
