If you change just the bearing and use a beat up (wear and chatter marks) 180K mile race, is there a chance the bearing could bind/seize? How about if they weren't pre-loaded properly?

Just make sure you dont lube it and you'll be fine, the grease atracts dirt and we all know what that can do to your bearings.
