car has been sitting (never moved) in this guy's garage for 3 years it was his wife's in college. the car was parked in the garage because it was flooded thats all. the interior looks like it came from the showroom except the sunroof is shorted out.. tires are flat and car is covered in dust. its got 92,000 babied miles what do you think its worth... its already sold to you no who??........ just wondering what everyone would pay for it, if they found this bargin.......

The important thing is that you are happy. Is the car currently running?

hard to say, but I would estimate it to be worth $2000-$4000



personally I would have lowballed the **** out of it and offered them $1000.

if the car is as mint as you say it is and its only flooded i would say around 3500 max

i picked it up today for >>>$600.00<<< yes i low balled him and fibbed a little.. but the thing is do you think the oil control rings will hold the car has been sitting in a garage for 3 yrs yes out of the elements but still.. in a couple of days i'm going to fill the motor with marvel oil for 48 hrs and do a couple other things like get some fresh gas and oil in there. the rotary gods have blessed me with the car now can they bless me with a motor that will hold......

i can't wait to park it next to my black TII.. (motor being rebuilt/crazafied)

thats like saying some 70 year old guy is still a baby.



plus say he did BABY it for 90k miles, you know the gunk and buildup sitting in that engine? its completely unhealthy to baby an engine for so long, it needs trips to the high rpms to keep itself cleaned out.

if u cant start then say ure gonna need a new engine and give him no more then $2000 if u ask me.... youre gonna have to buy new tires..the engine is most likely flooded.. u give him the money then unflood the car and drive away thats all lol

My GXL sat outside for 3 years. Here is what I did and what happened:



The engine would turn over but would not start so there was no carbon lock. I bought a five gallon gas can and mixed 10 oz of MMO and one cheap STP injector cleaner I think another 8 oz. The rest was 93 octane gas. I know you are not supposed to run 93 in a NA but the gas had sat for 3 years and had prolly degraded to 70 octane anyway https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png



I did not want to do the ATF trick until the last resort. Beside I just had a feeling it would turn over. After nearly draining a brand new battery the car fired up later that day. My suggestion is to let it run for as long as you can and just watch the temperature gauges. I cut mine off and did not get it started again for 2 days...



You are going to get foul smells but just bare with it.



The oil control seals some how let a little oil seep into rotor housing number two over the years. All this oil settled in or near the leading plug because of gravity. So don't be alarmed if you find your plug saturated. Don't assume the worse case scenario like I did. The seals (and rotaries in general) are amazingly tough. Once I got it running and kept it running and burned out the old oil there was no more oil on the plugs and no overabundance of oil burning.



After that tank of gas I changed the oil and filter. So far so good.
