Ok, so i just bought my project car, 1990 RX-7 GXL, its not bad it mostly needs alot of little things. I got it for so cheap because it doesn't run. The engine was rebuilt and is in good condition. The main problem im having is that the clutch pedal is stuck on the floor, i can pull it back up and it will stay up, but i push it down again and it stays down. Now i always thought this was a dead clutch. But i buy an RX-7 repair manual, and for the exact symptom it says broken release bearing or Slave/Master cylinder. The previous owner took it to the dealership and they told her it was a dead clutch, but i don't necissarily trust the dealership because a guy at the dealership she took it to was a shadey fellow and actually stole some stuff from the car on several occasions. I feel like he could have been lying to her just to get her to pay the 800 dollars that im sure as hell not paying. I was wondering if any of you had suggestsions or similar problems that you have had fixed. I would really appreciate the feedback.

Sounds like it just needs to be bled, that is usually what it does not have pressure... ie too much ait in the line.

It's probably the clutch hydraulics. The system consists of the master cylinder, s;ave cylinder, and clutch hose. If the engine was replaced then the person who installed it may have let the transmission hang by the clutch hose when the engine was out. That could cause the hose to leak.
