i was wondering what my car would do in th 1/4 mile it only has 50,000 on motor, electric fan, 2 1/2'' exhast and some other stuff

There are a lot of factors that determine 1/4 mile times, and the driver is an important one. You can surely find the stock n/a time somewhere on the 'net. I'm thinking 16-ish?
My car has run a 12.8ish in the 1000ft before.
Ive seen a stock N/A run 18 seconds. But it had chrome rims and tinted tail lights yo.
My first pass in my '88 NA ever was a 17.2... some corrections to driver error and crap tires, it would run 16s all day long stock...
A few modifications such as no cats, intake and fuel tuning via s-afc netted 15.90 once... Just remember the rx7 isnt meant to go fast in a straight line... but you could def make them into one.. Hell if a DX civic can be made to run 8s, you can get an NA rx7 there too,lol... |
lets see my bone stock 87 na with an open diff ran a 17.3... then with a full exhaust and a cone filter i ran a 15.8
I'm shooting for low 14's with my setup. The new tires should get me there.
good luck man... what have you ran with normal tires....im guessin yr new tires are the hoosiers?? is yr motor ported at all??
I ran a best of a 15.2 @91 mph with a filter setup, header, and a full catback. The drivers makes alot of difference when racing. Before I was launching at 3500 and getting a 15.5ish for times. I the started to launch at 4500 to 5000 and I began to run 15.2's and 15.3's. Its all about getting used to your car.

i've never draged my car at the track yet. I"ve practed launching on roads at 4k. I've ran my old mx-6 at the track so I know what i'm doing though. No my motor is not ported. n/a stock block is my thing.
