Went to the boneyard today, there was a new 86 rotary there, probably 90%+ complete.
Noticed one of these http://www.rx7turbo.com/mycar/small%...eenginebay.jpg on it, my 88 Vert doesn't have anything there, what is it? Is it something interesting that I should grab and weld randomly into my engine bay https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png A few minutes of google finds me some pics of cars that have it, some that don't. Thought it might have been a freaky 86 "first model year" kind of thing, but the picture above is a 90. |

There are other seven owners looking for parts : ALL OVER THE COUNTRY!
The longer that and other parts sit exposed the less usefull they are. Plus the pickn-pulls in our area have a BAD HABIT of crushing cars with lots of goodies left on them. ie. 88 Convertible with a good top and good qtrs, still had brakes on it. AE86 GTS with a good rear-end. Those parts are gone now forever |
no kidding, there is an 86 base with aluminum hood and some other nice parts still left on it around me.
It's in a boneyard that you would never think of looking for a 7 and they don't advertise so I may pull most of it and sell the parts. If I don't, I think it will just sit and rust until they crush it. I must be the only one pulling from this thing. It was untouched... still had the axle laying across the engine that I was using to pound the water pump loose from six months ago. |
Cars don't go bad around here, even in the yards. No rust, no snow, no salt, no rain...
Yards don't junk cars, they'll keep them for years. |
