Slow Start
Having a little trouble starting my 1988 NA Rx7. When it is normal temp outside (50and up) is has no trouble starting. When It gets colder and the engine is cold it takes forever to start. It just cranks and cranks for a while and eventually starts. Sometimes it floods itself when it finally starts and dies and I have to do it again. Once it's warm I have no performance issues with the engine. It only happens if the engine is cold and it is cold outside. The colder the worse it is. I've never had any issues getting it to start. It starts every time eventually. Any info on what might be the culprit would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Slow Start
Possibly a fuel system issue? Either the fuel injectors and fuel rails are clogged, or the fuel pump have connection issues and having a hard time delivering fuel to the system during cold weather.

Re: Slow Start
If it was clogged wouldn't I have the same issues at all temperatures? I ran some fuel system cleaner through it a couple times and no effect. I'm gonna look into the electrical connection at the pump. Thanks.
