yeah, so i will soon be upgrading my turbo and plan to run around 20 psi!! on the site there is a dyno sheet for a FC running 416 hp on 19 psi but im sure that motor is ported, mine wont be for a while so i figure ill be sittin around 400 or so....but what injectors should i run, right now i have 550 p and 720s so which i think is not enough....so i was gunna pop for a pair of 1000cc's to put in the sec. and swap the 720's to the primarys would that be sufficient enough?? or should i go bigger somewhere??

thanx for any input!!

i ran a similar set up but had a hx51/t64 turbo, was runnin 750cc/1200cc injectors at a base fuel presure of 42 psi (idle) with a sx boost dependant FPR. i have since switched up to a masterpower GT42 turbo , ported motor and 1200cc/1680cc injectors with base fuel presure at 38psi. i only plan on runnin max boost around 19 to 20psi

the first set up was a non ported s5 t2 motor then went with a non ported cosmo RE motor and now the second set up is on a ported cosmoRE

550/1680s

Don't run a T3 turbine, thats a mismatched turbo.

i agree with the 550/1680 or 1600 set up....

get a T4 hot side turbo...

Ricer240sx 02-25-2007 12:36 PM

but im looking for more responce out of this set up, i i dont really car that much about over all power i just want it to hit as soon as possible!! but i would like around 400hp, and i know this turbo can do it!

Ricer240sx 02-25-2007 12:42 PM

but since were on turbo selection now, what would u recomend??? i want about 400 horse power with possibly a little room to grow, but i dont want to wait forever to see some boost?? this car will be used for drifting and track days mainly so responce and top end are both important....id rather sacrifice a little top end for responce though....

sen2two 02-25-2007 05:44 PM

t4 will boost plenty quick....its a rotary. not piston

Ricer240sx 02-25-2007 05:47 PM

Any To4E will get you what you want. However there are a lot more variables than just your turbo, exhaust system has a large part to do with response, and so does your turbo manifold, etc etc.

If you're serious, we can set you up with a Garrett turbo..

Ricer240sx 02-25-2007 09:50 PM

yeah i was lookin for either a garret or a HKS turbo!!! i am more than serious, just gunna be about a week or 2 before i order!!! but yeah, right now i have a dual 2.5" exhaust coming from the stock DP with both cats gutted but i plan to replace that with a custom down pipe...not sure if im gunna go 3 or 3.5" if i go 3.5 im defenetly redoing the exhaust to dual 3" or maybe single 3.5 and have it come out the side.....not sure on that....i also plan to run the SS auto chrome mani for now. just to get my setup together so i can go and finish up on all the suspension that i wont be able to tackle right away or haven't already taken care of. also plan to run ITBs somewhere in the distant future to help responce as well....but yeah, throw me some knowlage, i like that stuff https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.gif
