Ok, when I get the new block in...I'm gonna try and cut back on as many vacuum lines and extra mess as possible...so what vacuum lines can I remove...I know some people only have like 2 or 3, lol. Anything else I can remove that is nonesense? I've removed a lot already...I have no emissions or ACV, etc...

vosko 07-22-2002 04:51 PM

get rid of the hard lines on the block that gets rid of almost all the lines and emissions BS

Rotaryman88 07-22-2002 05:05 PM

By hard lines, you mean those annoying little orangish/yellow lines?

vosko 07-22-2002 05:13 PM

no. i mean the metal lines on the block under the UIM. that hold the emissions solenoids and vacuum spider

Rotaryman88 07-22-2002 05:45 PM

AAAHHH. ok...that can be done. lol.

i removed that bad boy, removed the charcoal canister etc etc etc. my engine is SOOOO SIMPLE to work on. i love it :bigok:

Yea, I'm trying to get rid of anything I don't really need. I've already removed some big stuff like the airpump/acv/ac/etc. When I get the haltech my engine bay will become very simplistic. I still wanna keep my PS though...just because I'm lazy https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

You only need lines for the FPR< MAP sensor, brake booster, and BOV. That's about it.

Lol, I used to race a 2stroke quad, I've had enough premixing in my day, lol. I'll stick to the oil metering pump...

hmmm, just got an idea: Rotary ATV https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

The electronic oil metering pump won't flow too well without the stock ECU. If you insist on oil injection then you should get an 87-88 TII front cover, along with a mechanical oil metering pump.
