I am confused and need to make a decision QUICK!!!!!!!!
Do I buy my Microtech LT-8 ~ $675.00 -OR- Do the Dual Feed Fuel System mod on FC3SPRO.Com?? Current mods: Rebuilt Stock Turbo [ported wastegate and Manifold], 3" custom Downpipe and exhaust, FCD, No emissions, Volvo FMIC, FD BOV, Rebuilt Harness (NO EMIISSIONS WIRING), Stock Injectors I do have a set of 850's if I get the LT-8 |
get the lt8, the dual feed thing is um, unproven? how much boost are you gonna run? the factory ecu is good to like 10-11 psi with a fuel pump
mike |
i'd say LTX8. your car shouldn't blowup as fast https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
|
yeah get the comp for sure
|
Yes but I need to rebuild this stock S4 P.O.M. fuel sysytem on the block. Debating on just doing the banjo bolt mod.
|

The LT-8 option is nice but a properly functioning Fuel system is a must. I plan on using the S4 rails, Metric to An adapters, -6 AL lin, Aeromotive FPR. I already have a Walbro Pump. |
S4 rails, Metric to An adapters, -6 AL lin, Aeromotive FPR. I already have a Walbro Pump That is what i did, except I got a k2rd secondary rail with 1600's and I had my primary rail modified for -an lines. Ran 6 -an from tank. |
i was running 11-13psi on the stock fuel system with an fd pump and fcon, now i'm running 10-12psi with a haltech and a walbro

HHHM, I am leaning towards the fuel ...Hear me out.
Not the dual feed for the sake of doing the mod. But dual feed in order to elimminate the stock PD and FPR. PLus all new fuel lines. If my engine catches on fire a fancy new stand-alone aint ****. Plus I'll be able to sit back and see how all these new microtech installs are going. |

is there a reason other than price to go microtech over haltech, electromotive, or aem?

I've been thinking about this fuel mod, and in all honest I haveb't search about it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/violin.gif Know I don't have enough $$$ for the whole SS braided lines\fittings, etc. So how about a cheap way of doing the same mod?
Hmmm........ Work with me here https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif |
I have the dual system also, its not setup but I have all the parts, just need to get some custom fuel rails. You could do it on a budget, you would still need an aftermarket fpr though, and a whole bunch of new regular fuel hose, just use the stock rails, and get fittings just for the fpr.
|
Can edit my own post WTF?!?!?
Anyways... - Use a SECOND stock FPR on number I - Leave number II as is but now will use as a inlet - Use a NOS splitter where the A is to supply fuel to both fuel rails - Use a NOS splitter where the B is to collect fuel from both fuel rails Results: Cheap ass fuel mod & Eliminate banjo bolts :bigok: Or am I WAYYY off?!? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif |
I am working on a cheaper alternative. Those damn metric to AN adapters are 22.00 each!!!!

where are you getting that price for metric t oAN? I'm guessing these are aeroquip aluminum ones?
|
try going to find a hydraulic shop... they will most likely be aeroquippe industry vs aeropqiuippe auto performance supplies..
Its the exact same stuff... jsut that hte industrial version isn'ts o bling bling... ie not anodized blue aluminum...j ust some plane jane finish. Its like 30 to 50% cheaper |
