Well I just saw his other thread where he said the S5 TB was much cleaner...so he switched..which is a good enough reason I guess.

Why do you want to blow your engine? Its just gonna cost you more to rebuild.

matts86fc3s 11-24-2005 04:39 PM

god damnit people!! lol , ok my s4 TB was severely messed up, it looks like someone had taken some of the linkages and throttle things apart it was missing springs, and was rigged up with paper clips or soemthing, it got stuck at full throttle sometimes and it was just plain nasty becuase car didnt have an air filter when i got it and thats how it had been ran for a while... i had the s5 laying around so i figured what the hell, its was chean as hell, stilly shiney as hell too, and i know all about the tps on it i know its got 2 sensonrs, but one of the sensors is exactly the same and reads wot at only 1/3 of actual throttle and that sensor reads the same on the s5, the second one on on the s5 is the one with the full range. its not like this car is my daily driver, im just experamenting with this engine untill it blows, so i can put a heavily ported/ mildly ported,w turbo in.... i mean damn i know what im doing, LOL, im a mechanic, but i just recently got into rotaries and am trying to get all the info i can about them.

wow youre a mechanic and know what your doing but you thought it was necessary to make 50 threads about all the problems with your car

teknics 11-25-2005 05:04 PM

if any of my fellow mechanics every described such a vital part of the engine, such as the oil metering pump aka OMP, like this:

"front side that goes down the front of the block near the front cover of the engine and is attatched to some kind of lever with round things and what looks to be little vaccuum lines"

I'd probably slap them and tell them to find a new profession.

im a mechanic and i dont think even the new kids who are on oil change duties even use that kind of terminology.

oh and download the FSM or something, since youre a mechanic you wont need any other help other then the FSM and the materials you have avilable at your place of employment, well except for tips on doing things faster or little tricks. figuring out what an omp is and if you need it doesnt really fit that category.
