I finally decided to splurge and buy an aftermarket BOV. I had decided on the Type-S but because i can't get my order to process i'm giving it more time to think. A few people said the RFL was too loud and almost obnoxious at times which i obviously don't want but at the same time the Type-S looks really nice. I haven't really heard either one IRL so i was wondering if y'all had any input.

greddy type-s sounds really really nice ide deifnetly go with that, i think the rfl would prolly get annoying and stupid after a while.
|
i have the turboxs, i think it sounds really nice. Its not a chirp sound, or a deep woosh sound. It almost sounds like a school bus. lol.. but out of all of them i like the sound of the turboxs. Its all on preference though.

none of the above...get the HKS SSQ BOV or the Greddy Type R BOV.
|
rfl flows the best I mean when that thing opens you can see into the intake pipe
also I know where you can get one for $124 bucks brand new pm me if interested |
i love the sound of the type s..... which is one reason i bought it.
i believe the hks type R is made to handle higher boost levels and therefore more solid, and more money. i like the tial bov as well. i havent heard the tuboxs one yet. |
I had the RFL on my turbo probe and you find your self learning how to avoid the blow off LOL.
It is a good BOV can get a bit annoying if you constantle get into boost on the street but great product. |
Type S is a great sound!
If you're choosing from those 2, seems simple. |
I bought a type-s yesterday from phins.

my rfl is great, scares away the ricers.
i blew up an HKS SSQV by running 15-17psi, the innner rubber boot blewup. So i converted to onyl BOV's built in the turboxs style, no silly bellows thing to fracture. the type s sometimes has a squeak to it, my friend has one on his wrx and it sounds good at moderately high boost levels. kevin. |
