What's the difference?

GT Spec Mufflers are our flagship line of exhaust systems. These race-bred exhaust systems were engineered to handle extremely high-horsepower applications. A'PEX is the only company in Japan to own and operate a 95mm (3.74 inch) mandrel pipe bender at this time. We proudly incorporate this 95mm piping on select applications to offer exhaust systems unmatched by any other manufacturer. Pipes for the GT Series are designed with minimal amount of bends and the canisters project at an angle like the N-1. The GT Series pipes and canisters are constructed of polished SUS 304 stainless steel. The 115mm polished tip give the GT Spec Mufflers an aggressive, yet refined style. All GT Spec Mufflers include the Super Silencer, which can reduce noise levels by up to 7 decibels.

In the N-1 Endurance Race, efficiency is everything. With that in mind, the N-1 exhaust systems were born to satisfy the want for quick throttle response and to effectively handle the rigorous demands of high-horsepower engines. The pipes were engineered with the aid of sophisticated CAD systems to develop the straightest possible lines and least number of bends. The straight-through canister projects from the car at an angle, which helps smooth the exhaust flow. The canister is built from SUS 304 stainless steel and features a 115mm tip with aggressive style. The Super Silencer is included on selected models, which can reduce noise levels by up to 7 decibels. The N-1 Series Mufflers are available for both NA (naturally aspirated) and turbo-charged cars.

Cool thanx so the only difference is that the N1 is on a slight angle?

no...the sizes of the piping is different.... 3" (n1) vs. 3.74 (gt)

Correct me if I am wrong but both are "CAT BACK" systems intended to be used w/ a stock cat so the front flange (cat side) is 2.5" to match the cat diameter.

I bought the N-1 thinking I was getting a true 3" cat back and was bummed to find the fron pipe flange is 2.5" not 3" to match my mid pipe.

Is the GT spec a ture 3" cat back?? The N-1 is not.

They are both heavy pieces of junk. My Gotham Racing exhaust only ways 11 lbs. My old Apexi GT weighed 40 lbs or more.

Do they make em for a FC?

To do it over again I would get the Corksport one. $300 and well built.

Where does one get a Gotham Racing exhaust?

No, the flange on the front of BOTH of them is 2.5"

Personally I have sold a SHITLOAD of the Borla's for both the FC and the RX-8 and had very positive feedback. Price wise it's cheaper and quality wise it's just as good, but that's just my opinion.
