GT Spec Mufflers are our flagship line of exhaust systems. These race-bred exhaust systems were engineered to handle extremely high-horsepower applications. A'PEX is the only company in Japan to own and operate a 95mm (3.74 inch) mandrel pipe bender at this time. We proudly incorporate this 95mm piping on select applications to offer exhaust systems unmatched by any other manufacturer. no...the sizes of the piping is different.... 3" (n1) vs. 3.74 (gt)

Correct me if I am wrong but both are "CAT BACK" systems intended to be used w/ a stock cat so the front flange (cat side) is 2.5" to match the cat diameter.
I bought the N-1 thinking I was getting a true 3" cat back and was bummed to find the fron pipe flange is 2.5" not 3" to match my mid pipe. Is the GT spec a ture 3" cat back?? The N-1 is not. |
They are both heavy pieces of junk. My Gotham Racing exhaust only ways 11 lbs. My old Apexi GT weighed 40 lbs or more.

To do it over again I would get the Corksport one. $300 and well built.

Personally I have sold a SHITLOAD of the Borla's for both the FC and the RX-8 and had very positive feedback. Price wise it's cheaper and quality wise it's just as good, but that's just my opinion.
