Well yesterday I weighed an s4 n/a tranny and an s4 t2 tranny, both had the mounts, and crossmember on them. Both were empty.
s4 n/a tranny: 86#s s4 t2 tranny: 90#s Using a home scale, not perfect but good enough. S4 n/a driveshaft: 8#s. I will have to weight the rest of the **** later, I just don't have an s4 n/a lsd to weigh, can anyone weigh and post for us? |
the difference is greater than that, we need them full of oil too.

The transmissions are that close in weight. The differential is a bit heavier though |
Yes, I want a more accurate scale like you have too. I do have a set of n/a and t2 halfshafts also.

Why? They hold the same amount of oil.
The transmissions are that close in weight. The differential is a bit heavier though but the point is, who knows how much he's drained from one and the other, they should both be full to spec. one could still have alot more oil than the other in it. the weight difference is definitely more, carrying them both around the shop is not a 4# difference. |
THe TII lsd is alot hearvier than the NA non lsd. that's for sure https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
