$9,000 for a setup that will make 450WHP??? I hope you aren't spending $9K on the turbo components. I know of at least 5 turbo kits WELL under $9K that make more then 450whp... Who buys turbo kits??? And 9k$ is a fairly accurate price for everything to get 450whp imho And depending what turbo you get you may not need to buy a wastegate, some turbos come with internal wastegates. And more info is need to accuratly answer the o/p question imho |

Its up to you to decide if you need to go that far. |

This thread is full of misinformation, so im only gonna go ahead and try to help the original poster. Unfortunately, the stock manifold doesnt leave enough room to mount a traditional external WG. But if your sure you need more flow, you can buils a "divorced downpipe" similar to this.. If that isnt enough, instead of rejoining the WG pipe into the downpipe, you could bore out and eliminate the stock WG flapper, and run an external WG and dump to the atmoshere. Its up to you to decide if you need to go that far. I was thinking about that design. Thats how DSMs are. If anything, just port the wastegate some. |
