my mate has a s4 rx7 stock and he is looking 4 a wastegate, what size would best suit his needs?

Is he using a stock turbo, stock manifold etc? If not, what setup is he using, what boost is targeting, more info is needed...

yip everything is stock, he just wants to know what whould b best to use, he has got plans later on down the road to do a bit more work to it.

The stock system and the bolt on hybrids good for 400whp all use internal waste gates so the answer is none.

And depending what turbo you get you may not need to buy a wastegate, some turbos come with internal wastegates. And more info is need to accuratly answer the o/p question imho

Unfortunately, the stock manifold doesnt leave enough room to mount a traditional external WG. But if your sure you need more flow, you can buils a "divorced downpipe" similar to this..

If that isnt enough, instead of rejoining the WG pipe into the downpipe, you could bore out and eliminate the stock WG flapper, and run an external WG and dump to the atmoshere.



Its up to you to decide if you need to go that far.

I was thinking about that design. Thats how DSMs are. If anything, just port the wastegate some.
