The car is an 86 gxl and whenever i get up over 30mph it starts to vibrate , i know its not the wheels or alighnment because when ever i let off the throtle the shaking stops for the most part. Do you all have any idea's what might be causing it?

driveshaft? wheel bearings? are the wheels round?

Inspect the driveshaft very closely for cracks around the u joints.

im hoping its just the mounts .... ill lift the car up tomarrow and check out the u joints

If the vibration increases with speed, then it's probably worn out U-joints. If you still have the stock OEM parts, you will have to replace the entire drive shaft / U-joint assembly as they aren't separate. However, you can replace them with aftermarket individual drive shaft and U-joint assemblies.

Bullshit, you can get the u-joints replaced, I have a d/s that has new ones in them.

yea doesnt mean its right. theyre not supposed to be replaced on the stock driveshafts.

ask my poor n/a what happens when someone replaces ujoints on the stock driveshaft, thats why i got the car for such a steal, when i pulled out the driveshaft i could, with my hands, disconnect it from the part that bolts to the diff.

how'd you get it to stick in there? had to weld the cap to the driveshaft?

taking a driveshaft with non-replaceable ujoints and replacing the u-joints, in itself, is crappy workmanship, IMHO.
