well there are the 3 nipples on the back of the block were vacum lines run up to the ACV in a cluster of 3. |
if any of them actually pull vacuum (the FD has some vacuum nipples that are intentionally plugged) then you can use one of those to control the BOV. all it matters is that the pressurized air is reaching the BOV so it'll vent the pressure when it spikes

indeed i guess ill hook a vacum tester up to them and find one that does....do you know anything about the one way thingy inside the vacum line that goes to the BOV i didn't know it was in there and trew it away when i replaced the rotted old vacum lines. hmmmm seems like something i should need. also anyone got a set of FD housings for sale or a good S5 turbo housing |
a check valve? hmm, didn't think there was one in mine but mine may be wrong/different. i would assume that the check valve would prevent it from pulling air through the BOV, so air should only move throught the line TOWARDS the BOV as when it's in boost. i could be wrong though, anyone else know about a check valve in the BOV lines on a 13b? i knew the rotaries used boost pills, didn't know they had check valves too

also if any of those nipples are sucking air and you aren't going to put a line on them you need to cap them so you won't have boost leaks
