If any of you have read any of my other post you would know that I have the '79 that I put the '86 engine, ecu, and efi in. Well I was having a terrible problem the the idle and backfiring, so thinking it's a vaccum leak I took everything apart about 6 times looking for the problem; well come to find out it was a 'faulty' Throttle Body... I change it and now it runs like a dream! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif
I'm still having a bit of trouble in the cold start department, but I'm getting ready to rewire the fuel pump with the '86 fuel cut relay, and open circuit; which will hopefully fix that little problem |
Think that'll help your cold start? Is your cold start system hooked up?
ah cool, I had wonder what your problem was...
Good luck man.
cool, did you ever get the atp sensor?
mike |
The cold start, is hooked up and it works properly now! Also, I did get the atp sensor, but with no noticable difference... Now I just can't wait for the fuel pump rewire!
hmm, i thought that would do something? oh well
