There is no standard boost controller. You can make one for about 3 bucks though from a home depot store. Thats what me and Iluv88 did. Works great, just dont run it too high. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

it depends if you have enough fuel but keep the boost low for reliability....

yes you can, but it would be hard to get right and you might need more fuel

I heard that you can go up to 7psi on turbo 2's but above that you need to get aftermarket fuel components

Thnx for the advice. I'm pretty sure it runs 7 pounds standard but u can put them up to 9 without any problems as long as ur fuel pump and injectors etc are solid. I downloaded the factory manual from fc3s.org and the boost controller is some funny electrical thing under the intercooler. I'm wondering exactly how did u make ur own boost controller and can u tell me? thnx again.

All it is, is a ball bearing a spring and 2 hose connectors from home depot. Ours are a little fancier since iluv works at a machine shop. But do a search for "how to manual boost controller" on yahoo. There are alot of diagrams out there. Very easy to make.
As for the boost, 89-91 can goto 10psi with no problems ... so far... :-/ And 87-88 can go up to 7.5, then they hit fuel cut. |
Thnx sidewinderx7 im gonna look into it once i get my fuelpump and filters sorted. I dont think it would work well until i did everything else.
Thnx again Cozmo https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/moon.gif |
