Hey I have an 87 turbo II. It has about 180,xxx miles on it . The car runs great when its cold ,it idles normal but once it gets to operating temp for a couple of minutes , it just dies if i give it gas i can keep it going . And for the longest time once it would stall out ,that was it , it wouldn't start again for like 6 hours . It sounded to me that it was loading up with fuel so i would pull the injector fuse and crank the engine to try to dry up the combustion chamber , that would get it started most of the time . The other day i was looking around my engine bay totally in awl trying to figure out my problem and right above my air filter box i seen this little electronic controller with a screw adjustment with the letters R and L on it. Right away i figured that meant rich and lean so i leaned it out almost all the way and now every time it stalls out at least it will start again . Can anyone tell me whats going on and what the hell did i adjust I would really really appreciate it

you adjusted the idle mixture screw.
your problem is probably a misadjusted screw on your TB somewhere, thermowax possibly. kevin. |
its probably got a small vacuum leak, the hose between the intake/air filter and turbo likes to split, at the bottom, on the turbo end
